About

Rosa Ma Alsina-Pagès has been Provost of La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull since January 2026, after serving as Director of Research (2019–2026) and Director of Research and Innovation (2022–2026). She is a Full Professor in the Department of Engineering at La Salle – URL.

Her research centres on acoustic signal processing and wireless sensor networks: environmental noise monitoring in smart cities, sound event detection and classification with machine learning, soundscape assessment through citizen science, animal-vocalisation analysis for livestock welfare, and high-frequency (HF) ionospheric communications. She has published more than 65 articles in JCR- and Scopus-indexed journals, and more than 140 conference contributions.
